New School R&B vs. Old School R&B
This is NOT my kind of thing, however after viewing a BET 106 & Park video interview featuring an up-and-coming R&B artist #AugustAlsina who is from New Orleans; I was a bit confused .....with not only some of music coming out today in the world of Rhythm and Blues (??), but also the artists as far as how they portray themselves to the public. August Alsina’s debut album Testimony was released yesterday and he stopped by ‘106 & Park’ as a promotional stop to debut his new video “Grind & Pray/Get Ya Money" featuring Fabolous, and when asked by co-host and Canadian RnB songtress #KeishaChante if August was willing to settle a beef he has with fellow RnB singer Trey Songz who he has worked with previously (I am not clear and not interested in what their bickering is about), August popped-off at Keisha and cursed on live television! Hmmmmm

T.O. Spotlight: Prisca Kase
@PriscaKase is a Pop and R&B artist who discovered her love of music and singing from an early age while living Paris, France where she was born and raised by her parents who were active singers in choirs. Prisca moved to Toronto, Ontario at the age of three where she now resides, and is making moves in the music industry from early - the 18 year old songstress already is learning how to adjust in order to benefit as an artist in industry. New Music: Jon B - 'Settle Down Type'
Look who's bazzack! Rnb crooner Jon B, and it sounds like he has not missed a beat after busting on the scene in 1995 with his certified platinum debut album, Bonafide, and has now released a new track "Settle Down Type" that recently hit the net. Now, this is a welcome surprise for those that are wondering "what happened to RnB?"...as music today has definitely taken a turn; but Jon B reminds us what it's all about, as he sings about a lady who has caught his eye and ponders the thought of settling down in this hazy, mid-drift, smoothed out track.

Video: Mya - 'Take Him Out' featuring Spice
Mya does not receive the same spotlight attention as others females in her musical lane; however she is still here, and I am liking this track, along with the video that keeps the temperature hot for this time of year. The music video for this catchy tune was directed by Ras Kassa....Watch the vid inside....
