Wu-Tang’s GZA Merging Hip-Hop With Science In Schools
Gary Grice, aka The GZA is known by many as The Genius of the #WuTang Clan, despite ending his formal education in the 10th grade. While his lyrical contributions have proven him more than worthy of the title, he’s gone the extra mile to distinguish himself as a mind to be reckoned with.
According to The NY Times, GZA is teaming up with a Columbia University professor to make the sciences more appealing to school students using Hip-Hop. After doing research at M.I.T. for his upcoming album, 'Dark Matter' GZA met Dr. Christopher Emdin on a radio show and realized they had a shared desire to bridge the worlds of science and hip-hop. Wu-Tang Brings the Ruckus on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon
It was a #WuTang swarm last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon - as members of the 36 Chambers assembled for the first time, in a very long time. As Fallon introduce the group by saying "it's not easy to get theses guys together in the same place, at the same time". The Wu-Tang Clan and Jimmy Fallon's house band (legendary hip hop band - reppin' hip hop to the fullest) The Roots, helped the Killa Bees bring the ruckus to the stage to perform "Six Directions of Boxing" the group's track to the soundtrack album
for RZA's directorial debut, The
Man With the Iron Fists. Read more and watch the performance inside... UPDATE: For Wu fans check the new release of Wu-Block (Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block) here...listen to Full Album Stream.
New Music: Wu-Block (Wu-Tang & The Lox) - 'Batman'
Collaborations seems to be working for hip hop over the last year; now two of New York’s most respected rap crews, Wu-Tang Clan and The Lox, have decided to merge for a joint group album called Wu-Block, anchored by Ghostface Killah and Sheek Louch. The album focuses on Sheek and Ghost but original heads members Styles P, Jadakiss, RZA, to Raekwon to Method Man are on joints. Sheek and Ghost got together in late 2010 while on the road promoting their respective LPs, Donnie G: Don Gorilla and Apollo Kids for Def Jam and that was when they decided to make an album together.
