Drake Announces The 4th Annual OVO Fest



 #Drake announced last night his 4th installment of the OVO Fest, which will go down August 4th and 5th at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre here in Toronto (it's also rumored to be at a larger location - Rogers Centre due to crowd volume) when tickets go on sale  there will be a confirmed location. Headliners for Saturday concert will be Frank Ocean and James Blake, and Sunday Drake and 'special guests' will rock the stage.

Drake being a native of Toronto ties his 'festival' in with Toronto's main summer festival that takes place every year - Caribana which attracts over a million visitors to the city...For those who know, you already know how it goes down! Method Man Coming to Toronto + Throwback Meth & Redman Mix by Mr. Cee



Just in time for #MethodMan hitting up T.O. for a  show tomorrow night at the Sound Academy, here is a mix by Mr. Cee of  New York's Hot 97 FM which aired yesterday during his "Throwback at Noon Mix" and was filled with classic cuts from the 90's featuring the dynamic duo Method Man & Redman. Ginuwine & Bobby V Coming to Toronto - 'For The Love of RnB' Concert




RnB veteran #Ginuwine is still doing his thing and the ladies are not mad, as the multi-platinum selling artist heads to town this weekend, along with BMI Award winner artist Bobby V, for a concert in support of 'Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada'.

The event will be held Saturday January 12th at The Sound Academy and will hosted by comedian Jay Martin.

Debra Ehrhardt - JAMAICA FAREWELL Coming to Toronto


Jamaica native, Debra Ehrhardt is showcasing her experiences of her dream coming to America which has now become her reality; in her own stage play JAMAICA FAREWELL which is coming to Toronto, November 18th at the Al Green Theatre. 'Jamaica Farewell' is based on Debra's true life story and is a story of struggle, courage, faith, hope and determination. Ehrhardt is a member of the Writer's Guild of America, and was nominated for Best Actress and JAMAICA FAREWELL was also nominated for Best Drama in 2011 by the prestigious Actor's Boy Awards and has also received several awards.

This one woman show has received high acclaim from around the world and is currently in works adapting the story to the big screen directed by Joel Zwick, who also directed My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time. T Dot Event Listing: Pam Grier Will Be In Toronto


As part of black history month celebrations and TD's 'Then and Now' series an inspiring and entertaining cultural showcase of one of Canada's prominent communities.  The lineup of events includes films, concerts, exhibitions, and performances by a host of Canadian and international artists. 

On February 2nd, 2012 - 7pm  at the Cineplex Odeon Varsity and VIP Cinemas they are featuring 'An Evening With Pam Grier' who is an African American actress who became famous in the early 1970s, after starring in a string of successful blaxploitation films such as 1974's Foxy Brown. Her career was revitalized in 1997 after her appearance in Quentin Tarantino's film Jackie Brown. She received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.

My all-time favorite Pam Grier movie (and a part of my top 5 favorite movies of all-time) is 'Coffy'....Love that movie! Ms.Grier you ROCK!
