Yesterday was the 11th anniversary of RnB icon Aaliyah death, and in honor comes another intriguing tribute. This time around, Los Angeles-based producer Shlohmo hits the scene with his chopped up and slowed down interpretation of her Drake-assisted single "Enough Said" of off the forthcoming posthumous Aaliyah, which is being directed by the Toronto native and his partner Noah "40" Shebib.

Also, here's another remix by California producer Question, recreating her song "Rock The Boat." Bringing forth a soulful revision, the hard-knocking drum pattern, combined with the reverberated instruments give the track a 90s hip-hop feel. Nice!
Aaliyah Dana Haughton was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in Detroit, Michigan. Aaliyah is estimated to have sold 24 to 32 million albums worldwide. She has been credited for helping redefine contemporary R&B and hip hop, earning her the nicknames "Princess of RnB" and "Queen of Urban Pop". She is listed by Billboard as the tenth most successful female RnB artist of the past 25 years, and 27th most successful RnB artist overall.
Aaliyah and eight others people on board a plane headed for Opa Locka, FL were killed when the plane crashed just after take off, August 25, 2001.
