#MelanieFiona has released her latest visual partnering up with Pepsi Pulse for the promo single "Cold Piece" slated for Melanie's third upcoming album. Toronto's singer/ songwriter had creative control of her music video which filmed in Brooklyn, NY and has appearances by artists Luke James, Ro James, and Mateo.

I'm feeling this track and the video has a relaxed summer time vibe to it....nice! Check it out and read more on what's next for MF....

NEW VIDEO: Melanie Fiona - 'Wrong Side Of A Love Song'


Melanie Fiona did not win at the Grammys last night in the category of 'best traditional RnB performance' for "Wrong Side Of A Love Song" the award went to Beyonce for "Love On Top"...Gesh, I wonder why!? (and note 'traditional"...Have you heard "Love On Top"??). Anywho. Lady Fiona did release the music video yesterday which was directed by the Love Jones actor Larenz Tate, who brought to life the lyrics and emotions by showing the good times of a relationship and the not so good, by ending up on the wrong side of a love song. Great song and visuals to go with it! Nice.

@MelanieFiona recently visited the Tom Joyner Morning Show and performed her new single “Wrong Side Of A Long Song” and the fan favorite “I Been That Girl” co-written and produced by Drake. The two-time Grammy award winning songstress will also be performing for this years VH1 Divas which will honor the late Whitney Houston and Donna Summer.

Video: Melanie Fiona Behind the Scenes of the 'Liberation Tour'


#MelanieFiona opened for Mary J. Blige and D’Angelo this passed summer during the “Liberation Tour” which sadly did not reach Toronto, but Ms. Fiona shares some footage from behind the scenes of the tour. In the latest clip Melanie in preparing for the Philadelphia stop, sharing some of the less glamorous and normal moments prior to a show. She talks about not making any money after the release of her first album, even after doing tours, but still being grateful having a roof over her head....knowing not to stress over money because everything will be okay! She went on to say..."When I got my first cheque, I paid off all my debts, cleared off all my credit cards and paid back my parents...and I had no money after that, I started off fresh..." Melanie is keeping it all the way real...Watch inside...

Melanie Fiona served up a soulful set with other artists on what would have been MJ's 54th birthday, at the BAD25 Pepsi & Billboard Summer Beats Celebration at Gotham Hall in New York City on Wednesday night. Some of the artists Michael Jackson inspired gathered to celebrate his birthday and the 25th anniversary of his iconic album Bad.

Melanie Fiona, Ne-Yo, and Swizz Beatz were among those who paid tribute to the King of Pop by covering his Bad classics.

New Music Video: Melanie Fiona 'This Time' featuring J. Cole

Toronto's songtress Melanie Fiona has dropped the visual for her latest single from her MF Life album "This Time" featuring her Roc Nation labelmate J. Cole. She explained how J. Cole ended up in the Colin Tilley-directed video saying....

“I wanted some male energy on this record. I reached out to Cole and we had already done a song with Wale ['Beautiful Bliss'] and we all just really had great chemistry on the record. I was a fan of J. Cole. We met at the very, very beginning of his career, so we’ve kind of come up together.”

Melanie Fiona 'The MF Life' Has New Release Date and Album Cover


The MF Life
Melanie Fiona's sophomore album The MF Life looks like it's been well seasoned, out the oven, and is stewing down and will be ready to serve March 27, as she took to twitter to let her fans know. As an appetizer the album cover was released. The single from the album '4 AM' (you can listen to the remix with Sean Paul here) was produced by Rico Love is getting positive feedback, as it debuted at No. 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The MF Life is Melanie's follow up to her 2009 debut album The Bridge.

I like the effortless classic feel of this album cover; and there is a good possibility the music on the album may reflect that.

Sean Paul and recently Toronto's songbird Melanie Fiona was in the NYC and stopped by Power 105.1 to talk about her upcoming album, being nominated for two Grammy, love and relationships (girl you hit the nail on the head regarding meeting someone, and down the road they switch up...sigh), and they discussed everything else in between....

Melanie Fiona Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson at Handprint Ceremony in L.A.

Toronto's Melanie Fiona performed at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles yesterday, as part of a ceremony honoring the late Pop Legend Michael Jackson.

The Canadian songbird performed an acoustic rendition of the classic “I’ll Be There,” as the Jackson family, including mother Katherine and Michael’s children Prince, Paris, and Blanket, looked on. Quincy Jones, Smokey Robinson, Chris Tucker, and Justin Bieber also paid tribute to the King of Pop.

Melanie's sophomore album The MF Life is set to be released on May 8.

New Music: Melanie Fiona – ‘Wrong Side of a Love Song’


Toronto's own Melanie Fiona finds herself on the “Wrong Side of a Love Song” with her latest Motown-inspired tune. The Grammy-nominated singer debuted the soulful record live and now the studio version makes its way online. Melanie pours her heart out over the guitar riffs, showcasing her powerful pipes. After a few false starts, her sophomore album The MF Life is scheduled to arrive on May 8.
