T.O. SPOTLIGHT: Orlando Franklin

@OFranklin74 was born in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to Toronto at the ago of three and this is where the seed was planted in Franklin's life, and grew to become an outstanding NFL player, that made his debut in Super Bowl 2014.

Orlando Franklin played college football at the University of Miami and was selected 14th in the second round draft, 46th overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2011 NFL Draft. He became the first right tackle and the sixth offensive lineman overall in the team's history to start every regular-season game as a rookie.

The AFC Champion is 26 year old, 6 foot 7", 320 lbs Offensive Lineman climbed the latter to success, however each step was challenging to say the least; and Franklin shared his story to students a couple years back in 2012, when he visited St. Patrick Catholic High School in Toronto. His current life story, which began when he moved from Jamaica to Toronto at the age of 3 with his mother Sylvia Allen and older brother, is a propelling story involving various life altering circumstances for Franklin that included two occasions in custody, homeless shelters, foster homes, and a mother who never gave up on her son.

In case you missed it, @BrunoMars performed during yesterday's Super Bowl Halftime show, and he and his band did a great job! They performed as they usually do, staying in their elements and not over doing it due to the occasion; however they did bring on an oldie but a goodie, seven time Grammy Award winners, now legendary Punk Funk Rock band formed in 1983 - Red Hot Chili Peppers....with lead singer Anthony Kiedis looking the same, well some what the same!!

Super Bowl: Best Top 10 NFL Players Reppin' the Caribbean

#SuperBowl bound Patrick Chung must have one the most colorful family backgrounds in the NFL. His mother, Sophia George, was a Jamaican singer known for the 1985 reggae hit “Girlie Girlie”; his father, Ronald “Piggy” Chung, produced the song, which became so huge in England it landed young George on Top of the Pops.

His brother, as it turns out, is a well-known choreographer and ballet professor (yes, ballet professor). Chung, who enrolled in college at the University of Oregon at age 16, grew up in Snoop Dogg’s adopted hometown of Rancha Cucamonga, Calif., of all places....

Madonna to be joined by M.I.A, Nicki Minaj and Cee Lo Green During Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Cee Lo Green will be joining Madonna and Nicki Minaj onstage at Super Bowl XLVI’s halftime show on February 5^th. M.I.A. could make an appearance as well, but although Madonna has been hesitant to confirm or deny speculation that she’ll be joined by the Grammy Award-nominated British singer. Not much has come out about Madonna’s Superbowl performance. She’s one of those artists who likes to make everything a surprise. The legendarypop star did announce Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. would make appearances during her set.

Green’s role in the performance will reportedly be to bring a new, modernized twist to Madonna’s classic songs.

"I am not saying 'Yes,' and I am not saying 'No,' " Madonna has said about the prospect of M.I.A and Minaj joining her onstage. She then teased, "Pom poms. That's all I can tell you."

Madonna also told ABC News recently, "I have eight minutes to set up my stage, 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on earth, and I have seven minutes to take it down so that football field is clean for the second half of the game," adding, "That's the challenge. How do you do that? I actually wanted to have 100 drummers come from the ceiling, a drum line from the ceiling."
