Drake to Headline 2012 NHL All-Star Game

Drake will be taking to the ice to perform at the NHL’s 2012 All-Star Game which goes down on Sunday, January 29th.

The game takes place in Canada’s capital-city Ottawa, Ontario which has never hosted the NHL event before.

Drake won’t be the only one representing his hometown of Toronto, Ontario as three Maple Leafs players, Phil Kessel, Joffrey Lupul and Dion Phaneuf, all made their way into the game.

Recent champion of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Javier Colon has the honor of singing ‘The Star Spangled’ banner, while Ottawa Senator’s anthem singer, Lyndon Slewidge, will handle Canada’s national theme ‘Oh Canada.’

The game will start on Sunday, January 29th at 4 p.m. Eastern and air live on NBC. Ottawa city officials and the NHL have scheduled a number of events which will run over the course of the weekend, but it’s not clear if any of the game’s lead-up will be aired.
